Nvidia, AGPgart, and Mandrake 10.1 problem
I had trouble a while back installing video drivers for my GeForce2 card, I have since updated to a GeForce FX 5200 card. I have the driver working but the problem is that it's not using AGP support. Nvidia's version will not load because it says agpgart is installed in the system, but when I load the driver using agpgart it locks my system up. So the question is, how do I fix this problem? Is there a way I can uninstall or disable the agpgart module?
When I run dmesg I get this
Linux agpgart interface v0.100 (c) Dave Jones
agpgart: Detected AMD 761 chipset
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 439M
agpgart: AGP aperture is 256M @ 0xc0000000
and this
NVRM: not using NVAGP, AGPGART is loaded!!
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
