NTP time interpret(64 bit)

can anybody tell how to interpret time from an NTP time stamp?I searched a lot .But not that much clear.

For eg: a time stamp of fc:ff:ff:ff:08:c5:ff:ff

what is the time?

RFC 1305 says this:

Code:

NTP timestamps are represented as a 64-bit unsigned fixed-
point number, in seconds relative to 0h on 1 January 1900. The integer
part is in the first 32 bits and the fraction part in the last 32 bits.

[edit]The NTPv4 reference guide describes several new date/timestamps available in that version. You can find a link to the pdf in the wikipedia article.[/edit]

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:49 PM.
