You are not supposed to copy/paste anything from any ns2.
And : No PATH settings are required, if it's your computer
and you can do e.g. 'make install'.
All that 15 year old text about *PATH was used when you installed
ns2 on the University computer, and had no access to do an install.

I.e. the proof way is :
cd ns-allinone-2.34/ns-2.34/ && sudo make install
Explanation : 'make install' will copy the executable 'ns'
to a system PATH : /usr/local/bin/ns

Also :
The executable 'ns' is hard coded to know the location of its libraries:
No settings required.

# 3 .

That's not how things work. See #2.
But then again, it is very unclear, what you mean.
Actually no such thing as "olsr path" exists.
What is "bin folder" ?
There is no folder by name "ns2 folder". What do you mean ?

Please rephrase / break up your question into multiple sentences.

And : Please read all `olsr threads' at LQ :
