Angry Now where did grub go?

Hello
I just finished an install of Fedora Core 2 on my system .. it got completed successfully
But I don’t see grub when I boot? I get directed booted into winxp?

I had chosen the option of “install boot loader to 1st sector of boot partition “ during the install
now how can I boot into linux?

Fedora core has really annoyed me every time is try to install it .. I get a new error

Well you should install it MBR not on Ist boot partition. Try using rescue disk.

Put in the install disk and take it as far as installing the bootloader, set it to install to the mbr.

I did and after copying files etc… it said
Quote:
no kernel packages were installed on your system the boot loader configuration will not be changed
so still not change btw It was written in the help menu that you should install boot loader to mbr if you have win 98 /ME and if you have NT than install it to 1st sector of the boot partitrion that's why I had initially installed it to the boot partition

Try the instructions in this file from LQ's own help files. You will have to scroll down quite a way to find the instructions on how to get grub to write to the MBR.
