Unhappy Not able to print files of different formats in Linux

Hi Brothers,

Iam working in Linux.

An Epson 300Q is connected to my system.

But Iam unable to print out files of any type other than .txt (that too
only from the terminal). What should I do?

And how can I print files from any other system in the network?

Please solve my problem.

Thank You.

Please give us more input?

Which distribution are you using, which printing
system is it using?

Cheers,
Tink

You should configure CUPS (the Common UNIX P{rinting System). If you search these forums/Google you should find several resources, If you still run into trouble after you've set up CUPS, please post back here with exactly what you did and what still isn't working.

Generally, you print a file from an application that can open that file. So--eg--open the powerpoint file in OpenOffice, and print from there.
