Not able to boot. . .
 

Hello All
I have installed Linux on separate drive.
And XP on another drive.
By mistake I deleted the Linux Drive from Disk Management.
Now the message is like this

Please Insert Bootable CD(some thing like this)
Press any key to restart.

And this goes into loop . . .

It sounds like this message is coming from the motherboard BIOS. It means that it cannot find a boot loader or other software to run.

If you had only deleted the Linux partition then you should see a message from the GRUB boot loader. You must either have installed the GRUB boot loader in the partition boot sector or you erased the disk's master boot record.

You will have to install Linux to boot the machine.

Ok.
So installing Linux is solution.
Is there is any way to avoid "GRUB boot loader in the partition boot sector"?
Why because The problem which I faced should not occur in future and also it is time consuming.

On my ubuntu installation it didn't install grub to 1st hd, so when I removed it, I got same message.
I used gparted-live-cd, changed boot flag to hda1 and it booted.
It's worht trying.
