noone helped in newbie, so i try here
Well... I hate diskettes, during install i had to put "linux nousb" due to usb hanging on a compaq laptop. Install worked fine.
The issue here is that I forgot to put the "nousb" on the option for passing params to the kernel (should be there, right?) and it continues to hang at usb recognition. Diskette booting is ok, but I developed a diskette-phobia using my laptop, you know... Fact is that i don't know how to access this option AFTER installation for automatic booting, passings option to kernel, without tipping the whole thing again and again. Is this a LILO issue? tried to man lilo and lilo.conf, but changing "append=..." line was not clear. |
Red Hat uses grub by default, are you sure you chose to use lilo?
