So I've got 3 hardrives, one 10g with RH8 a 9g with win98 and 40g with one single ext3 partition. I'd like to setup 10gs of the 40g
to be partitioned for a suSe installation. Is this possible to do without loosing whats on the drive with parted or just the partitioning stage of the suse install? Hoping there is a way.
wait! one more thing. When i resize with parted does it matter if the parttion goes at the end or begining of the drive. Does this have any affect on my data surviving?
I do not believe so. It's always a good idea to backup anyway, there is always "that one time".
But yeah, I don't think it matters if it goes at beginning or end (however, at the end might be your only choice...) And no, I don't think it has any effect on your data survival if it allows before or after.
