Non-root shutdown's (for those interested)


Have just come accross this program http://deadlock.et.tudelft.nl/~joris/powerswitch/ that intercepts an APM suspend signal (as can be generated by pressing the power button on an ATX motherboard) and shuts the system down correctly. A nice solution to people with users that just hit the power button.
