noatun cant do anything
the default noatun from kde wont do anything. it starts well and dont play any files at all except wave files. what can i do to make it work for mp3 and aac?

assuming your on redhat 9, i think you have to install mp3 support.
i really recommend xmms as an audio player though, its far better than noatun imho. |
i have compatibility problem with my creative sounblaster vibra 128 soundcard. using xmms output plugins sucks the sound are crappy. i've tried art, esound, alsa, OSS output plugins. only two from the list work that is OSS and art.

if you go to Options > Preferences > Output plugin you can select another output plugin ;)
so if alsa sounds crap, use oss |
