no writing permission to mounted cifs share on windows XP ntfs folder

I am using Fedora. I mounted a shared folder on a windows NTFS partition using cifs file system. I have no problem reading the mounted folder but I can not write even the root user.

In addition, please also tell me how to mount a shared folder automatically. It seems that mounting a Windows XP shared folder doesn't fit into the format required by the fstab file.

Thanks.

unless this has changed which i dont' think it has.
Nobody has come up with a way to write to an ntfs file system from linux. I do know of some third party apps that were working on it. But as far as I've looked it can't be done *Yet*. But I'm not very up on the news and it could have been fixed by now. But i know with a fairly recent kernel i couldn't write to mine. which i tried about a week ago before i formatted it off completely.
