no volume pannel applet

hi there, i just freshly istalled fc3,.

i load into gnoe, and the standard volume applet is missing from the pannel. even when i try to add it to the menu, it is gone from that menu aswell. sound works, im using xmms right now.

any idea whats going on?

i think this is the problem
