NIS Question


Hi

I have succesfully configured my linux box as an NIS server. and when i issuse the 'ypcat passwd' command in one of my linux client it shows the passwd file of the NIS server, but i am not able to login using the user name of the nis server.
what may be the problem?

Ok i rectified the problem now i have another problem, the users home directory is gettting mounted on the client system. what am i supposed to do to have the users home dir get mounted on the client system.

From your last post, you say it's already mounted on the client system and then ask how to get it mounted on the client system. Is it not mounted or do you not want it mounted?

i am not able to mount the users home directory. it takes me the '/' directory when ever i login
