NIC wont get IP after restoring image..
 

so I built a suse system that we want to use for a few workstations that we are putting in, and since our ancient altiris imaging program couldnt handle the ext partitions we imaged it hard drive to hard drive using a hard drive duplicator.

Now when I boot onto the hard drive from what I believe is a different computer than I used to create the image, everything seems to work except the network card.

I can take the interface down or bring it up, there is a link light, and it is set to use DHCP but it does not get an address.

I am thinking this has something to do with a file somewhere on the computer referencing an incorrect mac address...any ideas?

Well, yeah, if you've got it setup for networking just like the original machine that is on the network, I'd say you need to reconfigure the network settings.

what settings do I need to reconfigure if its a DHCP client?
