How do I tell or where can I change my NIC settings to see
how fast it is running at. 10mbps or 100mbps??? |

please don't just reply to questions when you don't know enough about the subject. if you have work to do then maybe you should be doing that instead?

Just copy a large file from one machine that has 100 to your box and see how fast it goes - if it is faster than 2mb/s, you have 100mbs. As for the ifconfig, the first line of my card tells: Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr <something>
If you have a 10mbs connection, it would say something like 10x-Ethernet. Tell me if I'm wrong! |
