new version of kernel


hi all,
I want to now what is the latest version of linux kernel.
What are the features
And how it is advanced than the previous version.
I have heard that there is some 4.7 version is also there
please respond me as soon as possile.
I have to submit a document

the latest stable release is 2.4.20 available at linuxiso.org i'd suggest going there and using google to find information about it's feratures and such. we are not here to do you're homework. and please do NOT ask for fast replies and such. this is a voluntary site and as such it is not fair to demand anything from anyone.
