New PC old opp sys?

I have RH8 running very well on my 350 mghz amd PC. It's fully updated and running great. Problem is I just got a new 2.2 pentium PC with xp installed. I'd like to put the RH8 on the new pc but don't want to have to upgrade everything again. Is it possible to just switch hard drives and recompile the kernel? I wouldn't mind a duel boot but have to have my Linux.
What would you do?
Thanx

you should be able to just swap the disks with little or no problem. make sure the hardisk goes in the new computer in the same place it was in the old, eg if it was secondry master, keep it secondry master. a standard redhat kernel that boots on a 350MHz amd chip should also boot on a 2.2Ghz Pentium so no recompile necessary.
