New Mandrake install keeps losing program settings

Hello all.

Installed Mandrake 9.1 yesterday with no initial problems. Started using dcgui-qt 0.2.18... everything went well.

And then today, seemingly out of nowhere, dcgui-qt started ditching transfers, and when I restarted it, all my setttings were gone.

So I was fiddling around for a while trying to fix this, when I noticed that xmms had forgotten its settings as well (dropped skin and playlist). This happens consistently... every time I close xmms or dcgui-qt, and then reopen them, the settings are gone and they act like it's the first time I've ever used the program.

I can't think of anything funky I might have done to cause these errors. About the time it started happening I was trying to play a game (Maelstrom) while listening to music.

Sorry to be so wide-ranging and vague. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be the problem, or at least know where I can begin trouble-shooting?

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I have my /home/ directory on a separate partition, it that makes any difference.

I win the moron-of-the-day award!

I also forgot to mention that I'm a moron. The problem was that my home directory was completely filled up. To the brim! Hence there was a problem with all the config files for my user.
