New files with rwxrwx- - - attributes

Hi! I need to have group members be able to execute a file. However I don't want them to chmod each time to be able to execute a file. Is there any way to change it so that when users create a new file on a linux server the attributes of the newly created file are not rw-rw-rw- but rwxrwx--- without using chmod each time.

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the reply, however I still don't understand the function of Umask. Won't 007 make directories created rwxrwx--- and newly created files rw-rw---- How do I make it so that newly created files are rwxrwx--- instead of directories.

Sorry for the confusion
