new boot partition?


I have red hat, and xp on a dual boot. I am currently installing gentoo, my question is does gentoo need its own boot partition?

It's a good idea to separate the kernels (and have two /boot partitions). But if you don't want it, you don't need it. It will work with all kernels using one partition.
