network drops and errors on interface
 

HI,

I have an issue on one of the server configured as Backup (Netbackup server) running OS RHEL 6.4.

the issue on this server is "network interface errors and drops" i have installed latest HP firmware and updates also but this didn't solved the problem.

Changes has been done till date:

1. changed the network cable
2. changed the network switch (nexus-2000) to another nexus-2000.

how do i further troubleshoot this problem. the interface is built-in to the server.

Have you tried using a different interface on the server? Can you give the output of ifconfig -a? Is the switch showing the same number of drops/errors? You might have to get HP to replace the motherboard if it is the NIC. Also, isn't this the same question you asked yesterday? One post is sufficient.
