Netscape Fonts
Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions about Fonts and Netscape.
First of all, as most peole know, the fonts for Netscape are ugly. So I wanted to clean them up. I followed the HOW-TO documents at www.linuxdoc.org. I tried the FONT HOW-TO and the XF86 De-uglification HOW-TO. After I finished with both HOW-TO's, my fonts for netscape were in fact greatly improved. However, their was a side effect to this. For some reason, the Font size for my GNOME start panel was enlarged. I prefer my fonts to by small so I can fit more on the screen. So I was wondering why the size of my fonts were increased in GNOME? Second was the size of Netscapes buttons and POP up windows (For example, when you d/l a file and the prompt box opens up) were much bigger. Both the increase to the GNOME font size and the increase in size of NETSCAPE buttons and dialog boxes were not pleasing. So, my question is, is their a way I can just increase the clarity of netscape fonts without having the side effects of GNOME's fonts becoming enlarged and Netscapes BUTTONS and dialog boxes getting bigger? Appreciate everyones help. If anyone needs more clarity on this issue, i'd be happy t update this case with more info. Thanks everyone. J |
which version of netscape were you using. Netscape 6 should get rid of your font problems without other changes.
