netbooks (aspire one, eeePC)
does acer or whoever give you a copy of their linux distro when you buy their netbook?
let's say I tried out debian's acer distro but wanted to revert back to the original, is that possible? or maybe I could grab an image of my hard drive, is that possible too? |
The supplier should either give you a CD or make one available for download - otherwise you'd see headlines about the FSF and others writing letters to the supplier. But of course, check their websites to make sure.
You can definitely make a direct copy of the software and the MBR + partition table and restore later if you wanted to. |
LOL
that took about five seconds to google... then I believe it's safe to assume it's the same for the XP version of Acer's Aspire One... yeah yeah, I know that netbooks are supposed to be ultra portable but a few grams of weight and a few more buck for more storage is what I'd go for. And I could always dualboot ...0 |
