Needing your help, I want to install VMware over Linux.

I have many of questions:
- What will be better VMware server or VMware workstation and what is the difference between them?!
- To download the (.rpm) or (.bundle) file of the VMware and what is the difference between them?!
- I will use Centos 5.3 so which better VMware server/ workstation and which I will install .rpm/ bundle?!
- Are there any software should be installed before installing the VMware on the Centos?!
Finally the above questions were running in my mind right now I want to know step by step how to install VMware workstation over Centos 5.3?
Thanks a lot

VMWare Server .rpm

If you're not running anything else on the Centos you could consider VMWare ESXi. Also free, a hypervisor that does the same thing - hosts guests. Without a base OS on your hardware, just a hypervisor to host up virtual hardware for the virtual machines to run on. Makes for easy backup too.
