Question need win/linux software equivalents site

In someone's sig line there was a link to a site that had a side by side listing of Linux software and the Windows equivalent. Unfortunately I bookmarked that site on a windoze machine that died a horrible death and was re-imaged. Thanks for any tips.

you'll have better luck if you look for a linux program to do a particular jog...ie. you have to know what the job is, then search.

I agree but this is actually this is for a friend who wants a Linux equivalent to a visual programming environment such as VisualC++ (I personally know nothing about programming so I may have just created VisualC++) Anyway -you get the idea. Besides, it would be a great tool to convince the uninitiated that anything windoze can do Linux can do BETTER. Thanks!
