Need help writing a batch/script file

I have a batch/script file that will erase the cache contents of both browsers as well as erase the trash from all my users desktop...what I was wondering is there another location (ie.../tmp) that would carry needless garbage on my Redhat and/or Suse machine..where are the cookies stored for Opera and Mozilla?...thoughts, suggestions? Thanks in advance.

/tmp depends on the way you use it .... if you
e.g. download stuff to there you won't want to
kill it ... some programs (e.g. X) on a few distro's
write lock-files there, as does the KDE stuff ... you
don't want those to be deleted while a session
is up :}

Mozilla's cookies live in one file:
~/.mozilla/<user-name>/<random-dir-name>/cookies.txt

Cheers,
Tink
