Need a partition I can r/w from linux and win

I would like to create a partition that I can access from FC4 and XP dual boot. FC4 is ext2, XP is FAT32. The ntfs drivers for FC4 say read-only. Explore2FS can only read ext2. I can use FAT32 but the permissions get trashed. Any ideas

AdvTHANKSance

Go to http://linux-ntfs.souceforge.net to download the ntfs r/w driver for linux.

I think the only option is to stick with FAT. What's so wrong about that? The permissions are configurable off course.

writing to ntfs is possible (as TruongAn says) but higly unrecommended.

Thanks for your replies. I'll leave ntfs until it is stable (if?)
FAT32 permissions are configurable? Meaning linux file attributes can be preserved? Do I need to do something special?

tnx

ya even i wud suggest the same. stick to fat32. FAT32 permissions r configurable but not in the usual way. u have to pass the permissions thru fstab. i hope u r aware of this.
