NBC Olympics on Linux

Most of you have not been able to view the Olympics on nbcolympics.com because it requires installation of Silverlight or Moonlight (which is still in development). There are other solutions such as Sopcast, justin.tv (in which the channels are constantly being taken down), or mogulus but k_i_k over on UF has developed a python script to view the video streams in VLC. Hope you enjoy!

Can't say the idea of watching Olympics coverage ever crossed my mind, but I am sure this will be useful for somebody out there.

I simply don't understand how Amerikans can't get excited about the olympics.

Maybe its because we are having our behinds handed to us by the PRC...they more than doubled our gold medal count as of yesterday. Its kind of sad, Mr Phelps have half our gold medals.

Anyway thanks for the info :)

I think Mr. Phelps is a government project to make a human into an amphibious Aquaman, he doesn't even need to breathe air.
