Question Nautilus will not read /proc directory

nautilus will not read the /proc directory! there exists numbered directories and a few hidden number directories, are these normal to have?

Code:
[root@localhost 3]# df -ha
File system Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2 183G 3.6G 170G 3% /
none 0 0 0 - /proc
usbdevfs 0 0 0 - /proc/bus/usb
/dev/hda1 99M 25M 69M 27% /boot
none 0 0 0 - /dev/pts
none 251M 0 251M 0% /dev/shm
what to do?

proc is a pseudo filesystem ,that means that it is not actually in the harddisk but resides in the ram while you are using the operating system. It contains information about processes, devices, irqs, etc which are important part of the OS.Some files in proc are writeble with the echo command while some are not.But if you don't know about those I suggest that you don't change them.
As for nautilius it should read the proc directory as it just
appears as a seperate directory. In linux everything appers as a file/directory (devices, partitions etc).
