nautilus LAG

This is something that i really don't understand! I'm using RedHat 8 + Gnome desktop (default). For browsing local dirs/files there is a nice browser called nautilus. Everything works great till the second i connect to the Internet. From that point it takes 30seconds 2 open nautils, 30seconds 2 browse this folder, 30seconds to browse that folder etc... Where's the catch, i really don't gwt it. Nothing special in logs except this:

Oct 3 03:38:53 fruitcake kernel: cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!
Oct 3 03:42:03 fruitcake kernel: cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!

any ideas???
