When I navigate to a folder containing JPEGs that are less than 1 MB, the thumbnails do not show. Under Edit->Preferences->Preview, Other Previewable Files states that they should always be thumbnailed if they are under 5 MB in size. The other sections say Local Only, but I believe that they do not apply to JPEGs. When I go to Image Preview and then back to icon, sometimes they show, but not always. I have a feeling that it is a problem with the way my camera saves the pictures, because once I resave them with the GIMP, a thumb appears. Is there any way I can correct this problem without resaving every picture?
