mysql problems with courier authlib
 

I am trying to compile courier authlib 0.57 for the courier MTA, with support for mysql authentication but i am having problems. The documentation said that to do this you need the "MySQL development libraries" to compile this part of the courier authlib, but I have no idea where to get this. I have mysql installed on the computer, but when I try to compile it, this part is not made. The documentation doesn't seem to say anything about telling the configure script to add this capability, so I assume that if it detects the development libraries it will compile the mysql module but I have no idea what it is looking for. Has anyone tried to do this, or know what to do?
