Mysql problem Help me..
 

Hi,
I installed Mysql rtm version
I installed the following way

# rpm -i MySQL-3.23.49a-1.i386.rpm

MySql is installed succussfully.. It created all the default table.

Mysqlid is also started(running)

the problem is it did'nt create any directory like /usr/local/mysql

it installed all the files into various directory like

/usr/bin, var/lib/mysql/mysql,
usr/sbin and usr/share

and also it created some important command into /proc directory too.

My problem is, no mysql command is working..

i am in root mode

But all the files are installed
I tried the following way too . I got the message like command is not found..

# mysql

pls help me.. very urgent..

Please don't post the same thread multiple times in the same or in any other forum. Help will get to you. There're not that many people on right now, so it may take a little while for someone that knows to help ya.
