during the installation of mandrake 8, my mouse and keyboard worked fine as they were autodetected..........well when linux boots my mouse and keyboard dont work at all while in X. when its in non-graphical mode, my keboard DOES work..........whats wrong?!

Maybe sharing your XF86Config (it's /etc/X11/XF86Config on my suse distro, don't know if it's the same on mandrake) with the group could get you some suggestions.

ok here is something odd..........i downgraded to mandrake 7.2 which i USED to used, and my mouse and keyboard DO work at all times.........but they just straight up wont work under 8!
