My laptop cannot shutdown completely

While i'm pressing the shutdown button
everything seems going well,but
then its freeze.

the last line showed in my screen is "Unexpect IRQ trap at vecetor da" everytime

so, my last choice is to hold the shutdown button for a couple sec

ps.
*If i start booting and then shutdown it immediately
it go to halt without any problem :/,
*Start up fsck always die at ~95%
*my kernel version is 2.6.25

What brand/model laptop is this? If this is a popular machine, there may already be a documented fix for this issue.

well i accidently login to gnome(XFCE 4.4.6 is my defalut DE) and findout that the shutdown process is normal .

after a few trial

it look likes that the problem get reproduce from my XFCE(after back to xfce the problem came ups again)

i think i'd report the bug tomorrow, if the gnome isnt going to b the same , after heavy loading though this night.
