Musician's friendly distro (software for recording + usb guitar pedal connection)

Hi all, i am thinking to turn into linux for my recording pc - planning to install some linux distribution, but i am afraid i will face some problems with software like:

Cubase LE AI Elements 8 64bit + eLicenser Control Center,
ZOOM Guitar Lab + usb connection to guitar pedal zoom g5n

Has anyone used these software on any linux distro successfully ?

Thanks guys!

I can't comment on either of those software packages, but you might visit http://slackermedia.info/. It oriented towards Slackware, but it has lots of useful information about Linux and media.

Also, a podcaster at Hacker Public Radio did some podcasts about how he uses Linux to record his music. It's been a few years, but the information could still be helpful.

a good choice!
you will have to rethink your software requirements, but everything is possible.
and chances are that existing linux software uses the same layouts & commands as what you're used to, so you don't have to relearn from scratch.

i've been using AVLinux for a while a few years back, it was good.
also this might help.
