Multisession cd-burning from the console

I'm trying to write a small "script" which takes backup of a certain directory every x minutes. The directory is only a couple MB, so I want to make the cd multisession so I don't have to waste disks all the time.

I also want to do this from the console (using it on a system without X), and have tried several different commands, but not the one that is working..

Does anyone know how to do this?

why not tell us what you HAVE tried then? it's all useful information....

you'll need to use a cdrecord command, with the -multisession option... see the cdrecord manpage for details.
