Multiple kernels! Module question!

Hi!
I want to have 2 kernels for my system. one is 2.6.13 and one is 2.6.17.6, because the last one has drivers for my bcm43xx card, but the first one has pcmcia support. I know that I can re-compile the kernel and add this future to the newest kernel, but I always fail, when re-compiling it. Is there a way for example I have kernel 2.6.13 and I want to recompile it. can I recompile just the kernel, not the modules, because modules takes a lot of time to recompile! and if I have 2 kernels, where are the modules for them? they can't use the same, so I was wondering if they add them is separeted diroctorys or what? Thank you!

Here is a document that should help. Scroll down to the section "Assing Unique Name". It will tell you how to have two kernels with two /lib/modules (one for each kernel).
