Damn. Read your post awhile ago, rivethead, but was too tired to post at that moment, and then I forgot. Looked nice to me, but I'm not sure I understood it - was that Windows in a box on Linux or a radically customized desktop?
Digiot, that was a screenshot of me logged into a .NET terminal server session using the 'rdesktop' command. A 'terminal server session' is like telneting only instead of a command line interface I get a graphical GUI login to the .net server. Basicaly I have access to my .net profile (according to who I login as). The rdesktop command is rdesktop then IP address then login and pass. Here is an excellent explanation:
I see. I think. I've always had single computers or computers with direct connections to the internet. Networking's a kind of hazy area to me. I'll have to look into that some more. Might get more use out of my stuff. That's really a 'multiple desktop', even if it's on one screen.
Bosah - It's called DeskmanPowerToy.exe so you might be able to find it that way, or just searching for PowerToys. But I'm afraid you're out of luck if you're running Win2K. I think it's XP specific
does anyone know how LiteStep's holding up? When I was still using Doze, that was the shell of choice...and setting up multiple windows was a piece of cake (vs. some "power toys"). I recommend you go get it and make yourself a nice looking desktop.
