Question Multi-Disk partitions????

Is it possible to combine two disks into one partition?

I have a lot of data to move around, and one target (i.e. one partition) would be better than two (i.e. two disks).

if it is possible, how can this be accomplished???

-thanks..

With RAID or LVM. Search for those 2 terms on here:

Or on google:

Cool

another method, is to use single sub-partitions.
for example, a server with a huge /home partition
would host
/home/office1/something/ on one disk, while /home/office2/something/ on another disk, and you could still do stuff to "/home/" in general.

just my $0.02 - don't know if this will work in your situation

Nice suggestion. It definitely beats (on ease of use) hands down the work involved with RAID and LVM. The KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method is often the one I use, however I obviously missed it this time

Cool
