Question mtrr type mismatch?

Hi all,
When I boot up (Slackware 10.1) I get 15 messages of the following:
Code:
Aug 11 21:51:20 lucy kernel: mtrr: type mismatch for d0000000,8000000 old: write-back new: write-combining
EDIT: Kernel is 2.6.12.3 (upgraded from default 2.4 using Slackware packages)

That is the first line, the next has 8000000 as 4000000, then 2000000, etc. until the last (15th) message has 1000 as that value.
This just happens when I boot up (from lilo). It doesn't seem to affect anything, besides making it look like something very bad is going on.
Any ideas at all? It seems from searches that this is a known kernel issue of sorts, but I couldn't get a definitive answer on it. Anyone at least know how to get rid of the messages or dump them into a file?

Yeah, I get them too, but they just started with the 2.6.12 kernels.

I've read that it's some little bug that doesn't really hurt anything. I also read that they can be disabled by adding a command in your lilo.conf file, or grub menu.lst file, but I don't remember what the command is. Instead, I reverted back to the 2.6.11 kernel and the errors went away.
