msn messenger , produt activation

Can i use msn messenger on redhat enigma 7.2 in requirements it says win 95,98,..... , internet explorer, netscape 3.0 will it work ? If dont what chat progam can i use to talk with someone that uses imac?
I have download the redhat from the net now it sak for the activation , i have found a file , i think it is the activation code can i use that code to activate redhat or is it ilegal?

you can't use the msn messenger for windows version but you can chat with people that use msn with gaim...etc.

to update gaim what file sould i download tar , gz rpm , ball .... in the site theres many kinds of files and i don`t know what to download .

if your using redhat, best option would probably be the rpm format..

Download the rpm package and install it by using the command:

rpm -ivh packagename

That should take care of that installation of the file.
