MSN Messenger + Linux!
Hey, I have the Mandrivia Linux, 2005 LE. I want to get WINE, so that I can emmulate MSN Messenger 7. Does anyone have any idea how well it works? Or if there are any more applications that are BETTER than Wine for emulating MSN? (Crossover Codeweavers Patch..?)
Don't recommend another applications because I have looked at GaIM, and MercUry Messenger and a few others but no offence, but they are UGLY!
Surley, if WINE/Codeweavers Crossover Patch can emulate Microsoft Office, it would have no trouble doing something as small and as simple as MSN?!!!

For starters, Wine is not an emulator. Second, it should be able to run MSN no problems.

To get WINE goto http://easyurpmi.zarb.org, setup access to the repositories then go menu->System->Configuration->Packaging->Install Software
You could maybe install Amsn (using the same method), you might think its a bit prettier than Gaim. Also have you tried Kopete? Its installed by default on Mandriva.

Not really. I just mean that Mandriva installs it by default, some other distros would install Gaim by default.
