MS opening up
 

They're finally crumbling under the EC's demands: They've open-sourced the server communication stuff.

And it's in The Register, so it must be true :)

But remember who their "competition" is. I'm sure there will be some licensing provisions that forbid sharing of code, which means it will probably never see Linux or other open source projects.

Please submit this to our News section, it's certainly not a Linux technical question but threads like these are more suitable in our News forum.
