Mplayer input.conf problems with RIGHT/LEFT seek

My mplayer input.conf has a weird error if is use either RIGHT or LEFT with seek +/- a number.

The problem is that certain .mp4 files will not allow me to skip forward more than about 60 seconds using the RIGHT/LEFT arrow keys.

Can anyone help with this? My syntax is this:

RIGHT seek 3
LEFT seek -3

left, mp4, mplayer, seek
