mozilla wont dwl anything

i just installed slack 10 and went to dwl firefox. when i clicked on the link it briefly started to load something then it quit. also i cant log into this site. after i put in my username and password and click login nothing happens. i tried all this on a windows computer and it works fine.

i have mozilla set to open a progress window when it dwls something and i cant locate the firefox download anywhere. might it be a firewall type problem?

The simplest thing to do would be to check if it is a mozilla problem or not. Open up a terminal and type:

wget -c http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.9.3/firefox-0.9.3-i686-linux-gtk2+xft-installer.tar.gz

This will download firefox with wget instead.

must be a mozilla problem, firefox doesnt run into the same problem.
