Mozilla Thunderbird email, Inbox?
 

This is going to sound lame as hell and I'm sorry but I'm not seeing what I expect to see in Thunderbird.

When I open Mozilla Thunderbird I see my messages but the one thing I don't see is a listing on the side such as Inbox, Sent and deleted and the other folder if I decided to create some rules to drop email into if I choose. Granted, I know this isn't outlook or some other email client but I kind of thought Thunderbird showed those folders off to the side.

What am I missing here? I know it either has to be really easy or this has been redesigned.

My guess is that your "folder" panel has a 0 width.... try to put your mouse cursor left of the message list panel, just right to the window border, then click and drag to the right.

You can as well have a look in edit > preferences > general to choose the window configuration that best suit your needs (the grey area on each icon is the location of the folder list panel).
