I have been using mozilla fine until today version is 1.4 but i downloaded 1.6 installed the software and get the same problem on suse 9.0 using KDE 3.1
I have also done a search on lq and found a couple of threads that contian this problem but none of the solutions appear to help me. further i did a search on bugzilla and found the following to further troubleshoot this problem by issuing the command
the command does not seem to generate any information in the /tmp/log.txt in version 1.4 or 1.6
things i have tried
i have changed the loopback address from 127.0.0.1 to my eth0 ip address in mozilla the proxy settings tab
I have examind my files in the etc directory all seem fine.
i have looked for a swat based file in my xinetd.d dierectory but have none.
the only thing that has changed since yesterday is that i finally got ncpmount working on our nds tree. but i perfectly accept that my problem is network based so this may have caused an issue?
other than above i am at a loss. many thanks i am a linux newbie so if you need any further information just say and i shall get it.
i have experimented the same error with mozilla firebird ,.. what a did was in Tools-options-privacy menu clear cache, history and cookies and then mozilla works fine...
This problem occurs when mozilla cache become corrupted.
