Mouse Prob : Double Click Problem

Hi,

I use a USB Microsoft trackball and I'm having trouble with the left mouse button 1/2 the time registering a double click instead of a single click.

I've checked my X config file and only one mouse is listed and I can't seem to locate a place to change the double click speed.

I have the issue in KDE, IceWM and Blackbox.

Mandrake 10 CE

Thanks in advance and happy linuxing.

Could well be a hardware problem. I've had this happen with "well used" mice.

The switch spring could have become weak so that the switch is "chattering"

Double Click speed can be adjusted in KDE:

Start, System,Configuration,KDE, Peripherals, Mouse, Advanced. (Your menu tree may differ but you get the idea)

I see, thanks for the reply.

It's a few years old but hasn't been used much at all. Mouse usage age is approx 4months if that. I`ll try to change it in KDE but I mainly use blackbox cause I got poor specs on this box.
