After installing Slackware 9.1, i configured my 3-button serial mouse with the MouseSystems protocol. It works in GPM but when i load up KDE as soon as i move the mouse the cursor jumps to the top right and i can't move it. I have set it up in the XF86Config file.
Interesting, I use GPM, and when I come out of my X server it does just what you are saying. So that's what changed between Slack 9.0 and Slack 9.1 : mouse glitches! Sorry I can't help.
I had this problem for Slackware 9.0...
You can find your answer to the problem via google, if memory serves correct (Google has answers to 99.9% of questions.) the other 0.1% can be found here
I've sorted it. In one help file it said in the XF86Config file in the bit where it says to ports to comment mouse and uncomment the ttyS0. I did that n it didnt work so i uncommented the mouse and its working fine.
